About the Event
Eighty Percent of work done, to use a CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) device, is done on the computer and requires basic computer skills, which will not be covered in this demo.
The focus will be on the use of the program VCarve Pro Makerspace Edition, which requires a PC compatable computer, no android or apple systems are supported. (Feel free to bring a computer, however it is not required)
This Demo will include:
• How to download the free version of VCarve Pro and set it up for use with the Makerspace Edition at the shop.
• Explain the coordinate system used by all CNC devices.
• Discuss and illustrate how to download and perform simple manipulation of 3D models for CNC Routers.
• Discuss available tutorials and future CNC educational opportunities.
